Difference Between Google Chrome and Google

What is the difference between google chrome and google? I think you are referring to the Google search app on your phone or the Chrome app. Both Google and Google Chrome apps are on mobile and tablet. Then, we think which one is better. Do I need both google and google chrome on my phone? Which should I use in both Google and Google Chrome?

Google and Google Chrome have an identical ring to them. They both have Google in their names, after all. However, this does not imply that they are identical in the other way.

Main Difference

Google:- Google search engine is the engine with which you can search things through google, it can be used in any browser like Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, etc. Search engines, in simple words, mean a place to search for anything which you want to know from the internet. The Internet is really huge and to find your desired result, you need some kind of tool to do it. It is on the Google side and you don’t have it on your computer so you can’t use it when not connected to the internet. There are many search engines out there like yahoo, bing, ask, duckduckgo, etc, but the most popular of them is Google.

Chrome:- Google Chrome is a web browser like the previously mentioned ones. It is an application installed on your computer/phone that allows you to connect to the search engine and use it, it’s like other applications you’d have like a calculator, anything you install off the internet, etc. Browser, in simple words, a browser is software used to access, surf, and use the internet in our desired way. Actually, Google Chrome is a product of google company. That is why the name is similar.

Chrome is based on an open-source project called “Chromium,” which is technically open software and, a bit like Android, can be installed without proprietary Google additions or forked into different variants without Google’s permission, but is in practice mostly built and maintained by Google. Google Chrome is a fully functional web browser with tabs and incognito mode and other basic web browser functionalities. There are many popular browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Microsoft Edge, etc.

A thing to compare it to would be let’s say you’re at a restaurant, anyone can go in and order whatever they want, they can even order it however they want as long as the staff can understand what you mean (you can get to google with a web browser but not a calculator for instance) the food comes out to you and you have no interaction directly with the kitchen staff (the search engine program itself) just the waiters now you can go to a different restaurant like yahoo with different waiters and cooks or you can even ask for your food to be cooked differently (different web browsers).

Technically you only need the Chrome browser since that incorporates the Google Search app. However, the Google App does provide some useful functions like reminders, alarms, etc.
